International trade of goods of the Republic of Moldova in October and January-November 2021
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in January-November 2021 summed up 2819,5 millions USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2020 with 25,4% and imports summed up 6419,6 millions USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2020 with 32,4%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-November 2021, 55,7 million passengers were transported with public transport, with 10,6% more than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 3180,5 million passenger-km, increasing with 44,2% compared to January-November 2020.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in November 2021, industrial production increased by 6,2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. The increase in production in November 2021 compared to November 2020 is due to the increases in the extractive industry, in manufacturing industry, generating the increase of production on total industry by 0,5% and 6,6% respectively.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2021, industrial production increased by 11,0% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, against the background of the decrease of production in October 2020 compared to the corresponding month of 2019 by 7,8%.

Gross Domestic Product in the third quarter and in January-September 2021
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that the Gross Domestic Product, estimated for the third quarter of 2021, amounted to 69,8 billion lei, current prices. Compared to the third quarter of 2020, GDP has increased, in real terms, with 8,3% on the gross series and with 10,4% per seasonally adjusted series, against the reduction of the respective indicator in the third quarter of 2020 compared to third quarter 2019 with 9,7%, in real terms.

A number of 584,0 thousand of people aged 60 and over were living in the Republic of Moldova at the beginning of 2021, which represents 22,5% of the total number of the population with usual residence. About 349,5 thousand of the total number of older people were women, every third person was between 60 and 64 years old, and 61,2 thousand were people over the age of 80.

The touristic activity of the tourism agencies and tour-operators in 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2020 the tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 124,5 thousand tourists and excursionists, which represents 33,1% compared to 2019. The number of tourists and excursionists in the reporting year compared with 2019, decreased by 252,1 thousand visitors, the decreased was caused by the decrease of the number of participants of outbound tourism with 235,9 thousand visitors (-76,0%), domestic tourism - with 12,9 thousand visitors (-65,0%) and inbound tourism - with 3,3 thousand visitors (-7,1%).

Compared to the 3rd quarter of 2019, GDP decreased by 9,7% on the gross series and by 11,5% on the seasonally adjusted series. Compared to the 2nd quarter of 2020, GDP decreased by 1,1% on the seasonally adjusted series.
