16.06.2016 Data revolution: that's how Moldova will achieve the 2030 Development Agenda The Republic of Moldova has completed data mapping which is the backbone for the implementation of the 2030 Development Agenda. The exercise was organized under the leadership of the State Chancellery and the National Bureau of Statistics, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Similar pilots are being organized in other seven countries, with UNDP’s assistance.
23.02.2012 Round-table "Labour market statistics" National Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family and the UN Joint Project on Strengthening the National Statistical System, have trained 25 public servants in the framework of a round-table carried out on February 22, 2012 regarding the collection, production and dissemination of labour market statistics in the Republic of Moldova.
21.10.2010 World Statistics Day celebrated for the first time at international level in the Republic of Moldova This year, on October 20, all country members of the United Nations Organization celebrated for the first time the World Statistics Day, according to the UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/64/267 adopted on June 3, 2010 under the auspices of the 64th session. The National Bureau of Statistics organized an anniversary event at the Republican Palace, involving local partners: public authorities, academia, business environment, NGOs, etc, and international partners, i.e. representatives of the international organizations accredited in Moldova. During the event, several welcome messages were transfered to the participants, awards granted to the best statisticians, a concert was organized on the occassion of the first celebration of this professional day.
29.06.2010 International Seminar on Tourism statistics United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) in collaboration with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova, with the support of the United National Development Programme – Moldova organize the Regional Workshop for the CIS countries and Georgia "Developing National Systems of Tourism Statistics: Challenges and Good Practices"
28.05.2009 Seminar "Using of the development indicators in a gender sensitive manner" On May 27, 2009, at the National Bureau of Statistics the seminar "Using of the development indicators in a gender sensitive manner in the labour market and living standards field" has been organized, with the participation of an international expert from Department of Statistics of ILO (Geneva), Ms. Mata Greenwood, as well as reprezentatives of ministries and organizations, data users and producers.
20.05.2009 Conference “Promoting Gender Equality & Demographic Policies through Improved Data Management” On May 19, 2009, at the republic's Palace iby United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM) the Conference “Promoting Gender Equality & Demographic Policies through Improved Data Management” has been organized. Representatives of the central and local public authorities, donors and international organizations, academia, NGOs and media have gathered at this event.
07.10.2008 National Bureau of Statistics has organized the International seminar “Social inclusion: notions, indicators, requirements and measurement” National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with Regional Centre Bratislava (Slovakia), in the framework of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP, UNIFEM, UNFPA) Project "Strenghthening the National Statistical System of the Republic of Moldova", has organized on October 7, 2008 the International seminar " Social Inclusion: Notions, Indicators, Requirements and Measurement”.
