16.04.2021 The National Bureau of Statistics learns the experience of European countries in developing an informational system for population and migration statistics
The statistical offices from the Netherlands, Finland, Estonia, Spain, and Slovenia shared their experience of developing, institutionalizing, and implementing in their countries a register-based statistical information system under an experience exchange program with the National Bureau of Statistics. Weekly sessions were organized during February and March by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), with the financial support of the India-UN Development Partnership Fund, which is managed by the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC).

29.04.2020 Work program of the territorial statistical offices of the National Bureau of Statistics
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that the territorial statistical offices operate on a regular basis from 8:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.The territorial offices operate with a reduced number of staff, and access to offices is ensured by keeping the distance, in order to ensure the safety and health of employees and respondents.
05.04.2018 Announcement
The National Bureau of Statistics announces that the releases regarding population foreseen to be disseminated in April-June will be transferred for the third and fourth quarters of 2018.The number of population for 2014-2017 is planned to be recalculated on the basis of the 2014 Population and Housing Census data, the demographic indicators will be available starting August 2018.
07.04.2017 Statistical Yearbook of the Republic of Moldova, edition 2016, was posted on the website
The Yearbook is structured in 24 chapters and includes 330 tables and diagrams. Each chapter contains methodological notes for basic indicators. In the final part of the Yearbook data on international statistics are presented, fact that gives possibility to compare the indicators for the Republic of Moldova with those of other countries.
26.04.2016 Better training skills in the use of regional statistics
Between 19 to 22 April 2016, the STATREG Project organized the first session of the Training of Trainers courses, in the use of regional statistics. Under the programme, participants, the representatives from the National Bureau of Statistics, Ministry of Regional Development and Construction, Regional Development Agencies (North, Center and South) and the Executive Committee of Gagauzia, have developed their training skills in the use of regional statistics.

The project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Modova” mobilized an important number of short-term experts during March to assess both the production and use of regional statistics.
08.04.2011 Culture and sport - a new subject-area in Statbank
Statistical databank has been updated with a new subject-area - Culture and sport.The subdomain Culture contains indicators regarding the printing of publications, activity of libraries, activity of cultural institutions, the subdomain Sport presents data which refer to the sport premises, health improving centres, including in territorial aspect.
13.04.2010 For the first time the subject-matter publication "Criminality in the Republic of Moldova" has been published.
National Bureau of Statistics has published for the first time the publication "Criminality in the Republic of Moldova", edition 2010.Statistical publication summarizes the main indicators characterizing the performance of law enforcement system in Moldova during the years 2000-2008. This edition is the first thematic publication developed by the National Bureau of Statistics with participation of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Department of Penitentiary Institutions, the General Prosecution and other executive bodies.

National Bureau of Statistics informs about the issue of the statistical compilation “Labour force migration in the Republic of Moldova”. The publication contains information regarding the labour force migration in the Republic of Moldova and social-demographic characteristics: sex, age, area, level of education, civil status, as well as information about the duration of stay abroad, country of destination, working conditions.
