The National Bureau of Statistics presents a new edition of the statistical pocketbook "Moldova in figures" (Romanian version). This edition comes with a revised and improved format compared to previous editions, in order to facilitate the understanding of statistical data by the general public and to increase interest in them.

03.06.2022 Public event organized by the NBS as part of the global campaign to promote the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics
On June 2, 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) organized the public event entitled “Application of the Fundamental Principle of Official Statistics no. 9 “Use of international standards” in the Republic of Moldova”. The event was carried out in the context of the campaign to promote the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics at international level, which this year marks the 30th anniversary of its adoption by the United Nations Economic Commission (UNECE).

National Bureau of Statistics launches today June 30, the Online survey „User satisfaction with NBS products and services”, being the first from online survey series which the statistical office plans to conduct regularly. The purpose of this user survey is to evaluate the degree of user satisfaction with the products and services provided by the NBS, in order to improve their quality and adapt them to the informational needs of the users.

During 15-18 June, statisticians from the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova and Statistics Lithuania (the National Statistical Office of the Republic of Lithuania) met online to share their experience on the structure and functioning of their national statistical systems with a focus on the analysis of the legal frameworks that identify and regulate national statistical offices and other producers of official statistics in their countries.

20.06.2019 Postponement of the dissemination terms of the press releases "Labor, Employment and Unemployment" and "Income and Expenditure of the Population”
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that the press releases "Labor Force, Employment and Unemployment in the First Quarter 2019" and "Income and Expenditure of the Population in the First Quarter 2019" to be disseminated on 21 and 26 June 2019 respectively, will be disseminated to the general public after the official launch in July this year of the number of people with habitual residence1 recalculated on the basis of the results of the Population and Housing Census of 2014.

15.06.2018 Round table „Implementation of SNA methodology, UN-2008 / ESC-2010”
Today, 15 June, the National Bureau of Statistics held a round table on "Implementation of the calculation methodology of the United Nations System of National Accounts, version 2008 / European System of Accounts, version 2010". The main aspects of a new version of SNA methodology, UN-2008 / ESC-2010, as well as the differences from the SNA methodology, UN-1993 / ESC-1995 used up to now were presented at the round table. At the same time it was analysed the degree of influence of the applied methodology on the development of the most important macroeconomic indicator, the Gross Domestic Product and were presented the objectives of the future.

20.06.2016 INTRANET internal communication system of National Bureau of Statistics was launched
On 15- 16 June 2016, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) toghether with STATREG and SIDA Projects support, have launched the internal electronic information system - INTRANET.This network aims to facilitate internal communication at NBS, especially, between central office and regional offices, providing information about the events taking place within the NBS, as well as about internal information, procedures, contact, methodologies etc.
16.06.2016 Data revolution: that's how Moldova will achieve the 2030 Development Agenda
The Republic of Moldova has completed data mapping which is the backbone for the implementation of the 2030 Development Agenda. The exercise was organized under the leadership of the State Chancellery and the National Bureau of Statistics, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Similar pilots are being organized in other seven countries, with UNDP’s assistance.

On 7th and 8th of June in the frame of STATREG Project, a training course on “Use of disparity index for regional development policy” was organized. The event was focused on developing technical skills of participants in order to improve their capacity to use statistical techniques to measure and to analyze regional disparities.
