20.03.2020 Changes in the activity of NBS regarding the State of Emergency declared throughout the Republic of Moldova
Taking into account the state of emergency throughout the territory of the Republic of Moldova, aiming at ensuring the security and health of NBS employees and respondents, as well as for preventing the spread of the novel coronavirus, NBS informs that starting with the 16th of March the activities of the institution have been adjusted.

The publication contains data regarding the system of national accounts of the Republic of Moldova for the year 2014. Tables with macroeconomic indicators that characterize the socio-economic situation of the country as a whole, by economic activities and institutional sectors are presented.
22.12.2015 The statistical compilation "Natural resources and environment in Republic of Moldova", edition 2015, published on the web
The publication contains statistics concerning the air protection in atmosphere, the use of aquatic resources, the existence of land and forestry resources, formation and use of consumption and production waste, protected natural areas, the association of hunting, violations of ecologic legislation. For the first time chapters regarding natural disasters and change of weather were included in the publication.
14.12.2015 The publication "Results of the sampling structural survey of enterprises" was posted
The publication presents the results of enterprises activity (including small and medium) received as a result of data processing of the Sampling Structural Survey spent in 2014, with application of sample survey methods. The Structural Survey contains a set of indicators, by means of which the whole industrial and commercial system of the enterprise is characterized. Analytical tables containing main economical indicators, including by types of activities, forms of ownership and size of enterprise are presented.

The compilation presents statistical data in the form of tables from various fields: territorial-administrative organization, environment, population, labour force, population incomes and expenditures, dwellings, education, health protection, culture, tourism, crimes, industry, agriculture, investments in long term assets, constructions, transport information technologies, entrepreneurship. It is worth mentioning that the publication includes presentation of the main indicators in the form of maps, 45 in total, which makes it easier for visualizing.

Statisticians and data users from Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Central Asia gathered in Chisinau, Moldova, for a two-day Workshop on Gender Statistics Dissemination and Training, organised by United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) and UNDP Moldova and hosted by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The publication contains information regarding main social and economic aspects which characterize the welfare level of the population, especially incomes, expenditures, housing conditions, availability of durable goods, household food consumption etc. The information is presented based on the Household Budget Survey in the Republic of Moldova for 2014.
11.08.2015 Analytical framework "School-to-Work Transition Survey in the Republic of Moldova" edition 2015 posted on the website
The analytical framework of SWTS allows users to assess, first, the characteristics of young people who are still in school, who are employed (including self-employment), who are unemployed or are outside the labour force for reasons other than training/learning within the education system. The "School-to-Work Transition Survey" is a complementary module attached to Labour Force Survey, which was conducted in March 2015.
23.07.2015 Steering Committee Meeting of the STATREG Project
On 15 July 2015 the Steering Committee of the STATREG project met for second time and approved the first Interim Report. The Team Leader, José CERVERA, presented the activities carried out since the beginning of the project and the next activities.
08.07.2015 Transfer of experience to Moldovan statisticians
On July 7–9, Statistics Lithuania hosted a study visit of the representatives of Statistics Moldova. Statistics Lithuania received 12 Moldovan guests: Director General of Statistics Moldova Ms SPOIALĂ Lucia, heads of divisions responsible for the production of statistics, economy and finance, human resources, dissemination of statistical information, statistical infrastructure, coordinator of statistical data collection and other specialists.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the publication "Moldova in figures, edition 2015" was published in electronic format on the website. The pocket-book contains statistical information regarding demographic, social and economic situation of the country for 2011-2014. The main indicators are presented in territorial aspect.
11.06.2015 Visit to the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic
As part of the project's capacity building activities STATREG organised a study visit to the Statistical Office of the Slovak Republic. The visit took place from May 20th to 22nd, and was attended by 8 representatives from NBS and its territorial offices.
09.06.2015 Workshop on concepts and data requirements for regional accounts
From May 18th to May 20th, STATREG project organised a Workshop on concepts and data requirements for regional accounts in the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova. This training addressed the concepts and methods promoted by Eurostat to compile regional Gross Value Added (GVA) and regional Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

11.05.2015 Participation of STATREG Project at the European Village
The Project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” has participated Sunday, May 10, at the event organized by the EU Delegation in Moldova "European Village", on the occasion of Europe Day. Within the event were distributed publications provided by the NBS, the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction and Regional Development Agencies.
