31.03.2016 Republic of Moldova - nr.2 in the world and nr. 1 in Europe on coverage and openness of data
In 2015 the Open Data Watch - Open Data Inventory (ODIN) www.odin.opendatawatch.com assessed the coverage and openness of official statistics in 125 mostly low- and middle-income countries and has developed a report "How open are official statistics?". According to this study, Republic of Moldova has ranked nr.2 in the world and nr. 1 in Europe on coverage and openness of official statistical data.

The EU project "Improved Regional Statistics” in Republic of Moldova, in collaboration with the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova and National Bureau of Statistics, organized on March 29, 2016 the Workshop "Education and Training in Regional Statistics in Republic of Moldova".

The bulletin contains data in dynamics in the form of tables on main statistical indicators for years, quarters, months, which characterize the social, economic and demographic situation of the country. Information on social and economic situation of CIS countries is presented. For the main indicators there are presented methodological notes.

The publication contains statistical indicators regarding industry, agriculture, investments in long term tangible assets and construction, transport, communications, tourism, domestic trade of goods, insurance, work remuneration, labour force market, unemployment, demographic situation, crimes.
01.03.2016 Share of experience for specialists National Bureau of Statistics and the National Social Insurance in Republic of Moldova
As part of the project activities STATREG in February, representatives of the NBS conducted study visits to statistical offices in Romania and Lithuania, which were aimed at studying the experience regarding the development of macro-economical indicators in agriculture and the use of Social Security data for the compilation of statistics on the number of employees and earnings.
