Freight and passenger transportation in January-February 2009

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-February 2009 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 948,9 thou. tonnes of goods, or 38,6% of the total volume realized in same period of the previous year. The decrease of the volume of transported goods has been registered by railway (-67,6%), road transport (-44,8%) and air (-20,8%) transport.

The turnover of goods decreased with 55,7% comapring to January-February 2008, as a result of the decrease of railway (-67,0%), road (-29,8%) and air (-20,5%) transport.
