National Bureau of Statistics informs about the issue of the "Socio-economic development of the Republic of Moldova in 2009". The publication contains operative information with the economic analysis of the main indicators, and also tables and diagrams with statistical data on the socio-economic and demographic situation of the country in year 2009. The publication is structured in the 7 chapters:

• Gross Domestic Product;
• Production of goods and services (industry, agriculture, investments in fixed capital, transport, communications, tourism, retail trade and services, external trade);
• Prices;
• Finance (execution of the national public budget, credits, deposits and cash turnover, insurance, stock-market);
• Social situation (living standard  of population, demographic situation, health protection, crimes).

The publication contains also a short description of the social-economic situation of TAU Gagauzia and for the main indicators methodological notes are presented.
