Labour force in the Republic of Moldova: employment and unemployment in the 1st quarter 2011

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in the 1st quarter 2011 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1137,7 thousand persons, with 1,2% (13,0 thou.) more than in the corresponding period of 2010.

Employed persons constituted 1030,5 thou. persons, with 0,8% more than in the 1st quarter 2010.

Number of unemployed persons, estimated according to the International Labour Office was  107,2 thou., more with 5,1 thou. than in the 1st quarter 2010.
