Labour force in the Republic of Moldova: employment and unemployment in quarter II 2011

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in quarter II 2011 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1328,7 thousand persons, with 1,5% (-20,9 thou.) less than in the corresponding period of 2010.

Employed persons constituted 1246,1 thou. persons, with 0,7% less than in  II quarter 2010.

Number of unemployed persons, estimated according to the International Labour Office was  82,6 thou., less with 11,9 thou. than in the II quarter 2010.
