Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-August 2011

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in August 2011 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1012,1 thou. tonnes of goods, which is with 25,0% more than in the previous month and with 27,5% more than in August 2010. The turnover of goods in August 2011 summed up 330,9 mio. tonne-km, with 15,4% more than in the previous month and with 19,8% more than in August 2010.

In January-August 2011 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 5878,1 thou. tonnes of goods, with 24,6%  more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 2250,4 mio. tonne-km, with 19,4% more than in the January-August 2010.
