Activity of higher education institutions in 2011/12 academic year

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the higher education network is constituted from 34 units, of which 19 public institutions and 15 - non-public. At the beginning of academic year 2011/12 number of students was 103,9 thou. persons (excluding foreign students), which is less with 3,6% compared to previous year. From total matriculated students in higher education, 71% are following day education.
