City infrastructure and sanitation activities in urban localities in 2011

National Bureau of Statistics reports  that of the total area of urban land, 7.4 thou. hectares or 9.4% are  occupied by green spaces, the same level as in the previous year. 56% of the surface of these areas are for general use (squares, gardens, parks, etc.), the remaining being the spaces of touristic and entertainment zones (18%), limited access areas – 13% and areas with utility purposes (8%).
