Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-May 2016

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in May 2016 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 978,2 thou. tonnes of goods, with 2,6% less than in the previous month and with 22,9% compared to May 2015. The turnover of goods in May 2016 summed up 302,7 mio. tonne-km, with 7,3% less than in the previous month and with 11,3% - compared to May 2015.

In January-May 2016 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 4162,8 thou. tonnes of goods, with 13,5%  less than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 1399,4 mio. tonne-km, with 6,8% less than in the January-May 2015.
