The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, as of January 1, 2017, the dwelling stock of the Republic of Moldova constituted 86830,6 thousand m², of which in the urban localities - 37895,8 thousand m² or 43,6% of the total dwelling stock and in the rural localities - 48934,8 thousand m² or 56,4%. 

                        

The level of population endowment with dwellings per inhabitant represented, in average, 24,4 m², of which 25,0 m² - in urban localities and 24,0 m² - in rural localities.
