The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 34,1 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-April 2019, with 3,5% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 1643,5 million passenger-kilometers, with 3,2% more than January-April 2018.

 

In the period under review, passenger transport accounted for the highest share (97,3%), followed by rail transport (1,5%) and air transport (1,1%).

 

Compared to January-April 2018, increases were recorded for river transport of passengers (+16,2%) and road (+3,7%). Air passenger transport and rail passenger transport decreased by 4,1% respectively by 3,7%.
