The National Bureau of Statistics informs that on 1 January 2019, the dwelling stock in the Republic of Moldova constituted 1292,5 thousand dwellings with a total area of 87751,3 thousand m².

 

By residential area, 539,8 thousand dwellings with a total area of 38697,0 thousand m² were registered in urban localities, which represents 42,1% of the total registered dwelling stock. Rural settlements have 748,7 thousand dwellings with a total area of 49054,3 thousand m² or 57,9% of the total.
