Industrial activity in January-April 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in April 2021, industrial production (gross series) increased by 50,4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, against the background of the decrease of production in April 2020 compared to the corresponding month of 2019 by 25,8%. The increase in production in April 2021 is due to the increases in the extractive industry (+ 71,5%), in the manufacturing industry (+ 51,6%) and in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+ 40,8%), generating the increase of production on total industry by 1,9%, 42,1% and 6,4% respectively.
