Passengers and freight transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-July 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 34,8 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-July 2021, with 14,1% more than in the similar period of 2020. The passengers turnover constituted 1784,0 million passenger-kilometers, with 31,1% more compared to the January-July 2020.

In January-July 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 9,4 million tonnes of goods, a volume higher than the one recorded in the same period of 2020 with 9,0%. The turnover of goods totaled 2744,5 million tonnes-km, with 7,3% more compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
