Industrial activity in January-August 2021

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in August 2021, industrial production (gross series) increased by 6,6% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, against the background of the decrease of production in August 2020 compared to the corresponding month of 2019 by 7,9%. The increase in production in August 2021 compared to August 2020 is due to the increases in the extractive industry (+2,3%), in manufacturing industry (+7,1%) and in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (+3,7%), generating the increase of production on total industry by 0,1%, 6,2% and 0,3% respectively.
