Demographic situation in 2021

National Bureau of Statistics presents the statistical information on the demographic situation in the Republic of Moldova for 2021 year.

The data are presented through the aspects of demographic events targeting the usual resident population, which includes those who have lived mainly on the territory of the Republic of Moldova for the last 12 months, regardless of temporary absences.

The number of the population with usual residence on 01.01.2021 (according to the specified data) was 2626,9 thousand persons, and on 01.01.2022 (according to the preliminary data) - 2604,0 thousand persons.
