The number of live-births by age group of the mother, live-birth order and area in 2016

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that the number of live-births in 2016 was 37394 persons, which is with 1216 (3,1%) less than in 2015.

The birth rate constituted 10,5 live-births per 1000 inhabitants, in rural areas being higher (11,8‰) than in urban areas (8,8‰). of total number of live-births 51,6% were boys, thus the ratio being 107 boys per 100 girls.
