24.06.2014 Analytical notes on the study results "Time Use of women and men in the Republic of Moldova" National Bureau of Statistics has conducted in the period June 2011-May 2012 the statistical survey “Time Use Survey in the Republic of Moldova”. Based on survey results, specialists of Independent Think-tank Expert-Grup developed ten analytical briefs which explain the lifestyle of women and men based on the ways they spend their time.
09.01.2014 For the first time the publication "Territorial statistics" has been issued The compilation presents statistical data in the form of tables from various fields: territorial-administrative organization, environment, population, labour force, population incomes and expenditures, dwellings, education, health protection, culture, tourism, crimes, industry, agriculture, investments in long term assets, constructions, transport information technologies, entrepreneurship.
It is worth mentioning that the publication includes a new presentation of the main indicators in the form of maps, 43 in total, which makes it easier for visualizing.
15.01.2014 "Health protection in the Republic of Moldova”, edition 2013 was edited and posted on the web page. The publication contains information on medical and demographical aspects of population’s health, health resources, and of separate socio-demographic groups, sanatorium treatment, leisure, as well as data on living conditions, labour market situation in this field, financing and investments in health protection, environment situation etc. Current edition was completed with new tables, including a new chapter with the main indicators in territorial aspect.
28.11.2013 Results of the survey "Labour force migration in the Republic of Moldova" The synthesis contains information regarding the labour force migration in the Republic of Moldova and social-demographic characteristics: sex, age, area, level of education, civil status, as well as information about the duration of stay abroad, country of destination, working conditions.
01.08.2013 The compilation "Time Use in the Republic of Moldova" has been posted on the website This synthesis provides detailed data on the use of time by Moldova's inhabitants: the types of performed activities (What are they doing?), the length of time for these activities (How much time?), as well as the context in which they are made (Where? With whom? For what purposes?). The compilation contains tables with key indicators that describe the time spent by the residents of Moldova during the day, disaggregated by activities and the main socio-economic-demographic characteristics of the persons aged 10 years and older.
25.06.2012 A new edition of statistical publication "Children of Moldova" was issued, edition 2012 The statistical publication "Children of Moldova" summarizes the main indicators characterizing the child’s situation in the Republic of Moldova during the years 2000-2010. The publication is structured into 10 chapters which contain data on such aspects as: demography, children health and education, juvenile justice, social protection, situation of family with children etc.
23.02.2012 Round-table "Labour market statistics" National Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family and the UN Joint Project on Strengthening the National Statistical System, have trained 25 public servants in the framework of a round-table carried out on February 22, 2012 regarding the collection, production and dissemination of labour market statistics in the Republic of Moldova.
21.10.2010 World Statistics Day celebrated for the first time at international level in the Republic of Moldova This year, on October 20, all country members of the United Nations Organization celebrated for the first time the World Statistics Day, according to the UN General Assembly Resolution A/RES/64/267 adopted on June 3, 2010 under the auspices of the 64th session. The National Bureau of Statistics organized an anniversary event at the Republican Palace, involving local partners: public authorities, academia, business environment, NGOs, etc, and international partners, i.e. representatives of the international organizations accredited in Moldova. During the event, several welcome messages were transfered to the participants, awards granted to the best statisticians, a concert was organized on the occassion of the first celebration of this professional day.

The publicaiton contains main statistical indicators that characterize the educational system of the country furing the period 2000-2009. Data are rpesented by educational levels: pre-primary, primary, day school, secondary vocational, secondary specialized, higher, doctorall and postdoctoral.
13.04.2010 For the first time the subject-matter publication "Criminality in the Republic of Moldova" has been published. National Bureau of Statistics has published for the first time the publication "Criminality in the Republic of Moldova", edition 2010.
Statistical publication summarizes the main indicators characterizing the performance of law enforcement system in Moldova during the years 2000-2008. This edition is the first thematic publication developed by the National Bureau of Statistics with participation of Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Justice, Department of Penitentiary Institutions, the General Prosecution and other executive bodies.
04.10.2010 The statistical publication "Aspects of the standard of living of population in 2009" has been posted on the website in electronic format The publication contains information regarding main social and economic aspects which characterize the welfare level of the population, especially incomes, expenditures, housing conditions, availability of durable goods, household food consumption etc. The information is presented based on the Household Budget Survey in the Republic of Moldova for 2009. For the main indicators methodological notes are presented.

The survey was conducted by National Association for Rural development "OIKOS" in the framework of the project on Strengthening the National Statistical System (a joint initiative of the UNDP, UNIFEM, UNFPA, Unicef).
18.09.2009 Statistical compilation "Population and demographic processes in the Republic of Moldova, edition 2009" National Bureau of Statistics communicates that the statistical compilation "Population and demographic processes in the Republic of Moldova" edition 2009 has been posted. The publication contains statistical data about the administrative-territorial division of the country and series of statistical data concerning the number and demographic structure of the population, as well as its natural movement (borns, deceased, marriages, divorces) and migratory (international) movement.
28.05.2009 Seminar "Using of the development indicators in a gender sensitive manner" On May 27, 2009, at the National Bureau of Statistics the seminar "Using of the development indicators in a gender sensitive manner in the labour market and living standards field" has been organized, with the participation of an international expert from Department of Statistics of ILO (Geneva), Ms. Mata Greenwood, as well as reprezentatives of ministries and organizations, data users and producers.

07.10.2008 National Bureau of Statistics has organized the International seminar “Social inclusion: notions, indicators, requirements and measurement” National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova in collaboration with Regional Centre Bratislava (Slovakia), in the framework of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP, UNIFEM, UNFPA) Project "Strenghthening the National Statistical System of the Republic of Moldova", has organized on October 7, 2008 the International seminar " Social Inclusion: Notions, Indicators, Requirements and Measurement”.
