Foreign trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-May 2009

The National Bureau of Statistics presents data regarding the foreign trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-May 2009.

Exports of goods in May 2009 registered a value of 100,7 mln. US dollars, which is 8,5% more than in the previous month and 20,4% less than in May 2008.
In January-May 2009 exports have summed up 473,3 mln. US dollars, with 21,6% less compared to the respective period in 2008.

Imports of goods in May 2009 registered a value of 242,9 mln. US dollars, which is 0,6% more than in the previous month and 38,6% less than in May 2008.
In January-May 2009 imports have summed up 1238,1 mln. US dollars, with 34,5% less compared to the respective period in 2008.
