Foreign trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-August 2009

The National Bureau of Statistics presents data regarding the foreign trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-August 2009.

Exports of goods in August 2009 registered a value of 98,0 mln. US dollars, which is 12,0% less than in the previous month and 36,6% less than in August 2008.

In January-August 2009 exports have summed up 790,2 mln. US dollars, with 24,2% less compared to the respective period in 2008.

Imports of goods in August 2009 registered a value of 233,9 mln. US dollars, which is 11,7% less than in the previous month and 48,5% less than in August 2008.

In January-August 2009 imports have summed up 1996,6 mln. US dollars, with 38,3% less compared to the respective period in 2008.
