Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-May 2014

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in May 2014 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1030,1 thou. tonnes of goods with 4,2% more than in the previous month and with 8,5% more compared to May 2013. The turnover of goods in May 2014 summed up 320,9 mio. tonne-km, with 3,0% less than in the previous month and with 7,8% - compared to May 2013.

In January-May 2014 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 4255,5 thou. tonnes of goods, with 9,7%  more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 1507,6 mio. tonne-km, with 1,9% less than in the January-May 2013.
