National Bureau of Statistics ranked 1st place in the Sports Contest of the Public Service Employees, XIIth edition

On 5-7 June, 2015 took place the XIIth edition of Sports Contest of the Public Service Employees at the Vadul lui Voda Camping, organized by the Chisinau Territorial Trade Union Association SINDASP.

At the current edition participated 16 teams - representatives of ministries and of other public authorities, and also representatives of the Romanian State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM).

Competing teams competed in 8 sports: football, men's and women's volleyball, table tennis, checkers, chess, lifting weights and darts.

After 2 days of competition NBS team had an exceptional performance in the Sports Contest of the Public Service Employees showing a very good physical and moral training, of cohesion and increased team spirit. Thus, the National Statistics Office team by sports, has ranked the following positions:

  • 2nd place – volleyball - men
  • 2nd place – minifootball
  • 2nd place - table tennis
  • 2nd place - Checkers
  • 3nd place – volleyball - women
  • 2nd place - darts - women

For the first time in the Sports Contest of the Public Service Employees history National Bureau of Statistics has ranked 1st place for overall sports. Customs Service and Ministry of Economy were placed 2nd and 3rd.

The team was awarded with cups, diplomas and medals.

Participants thank Director General of NBS, Ms. Lucia Spoială for supporting, promoting a healthy lifestyle, increasing work capacity and strengthening the staff. Also, we bring the most sincere congratulations to all the participants and organizers of this remarkable event.
