National Bureau of Statistics reports that in 2016 compared to the previous year the number of water supply systems has increased by 68 units, thus on the territory of the country there are 1181 water supply systems. Out of the total aqueducts, 1115 systems or 94.4 percent were operating during the year.

                    

Compared to the previous year, in 2016, the total length of water distribution networks and aqueducts expanded by 0.6 thousand km, constituting 13.4 thousand km.
