The National Bureau of Statistics communicates data on the activity of early education institutions in 2017.

         

In 2017 the network of early education institutions underwent a number of changes, the number of which correlated with the population in the 0-6 age group. 10 early education institutions ceased their activity, 4 units in ATU Gagauzia and the North Region, and 1 in the Central and South Region, all of them in rural areas. In Chisinau municipality, an institution with the form of private property ceased activity. Throughout the year, 8 institutions were in the capital repair. At the same time, 5 early education institutions were opened or reopened in the Center area (including 4 - in rural areas) and 2 - in the North area, the rural area. Altogether in the urban area worked 330 early education institutions, and in the rural area 1128 units.
