Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-August 2018

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in August 2018 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1,9 mio. tonnes of goods, with 2,7% less than in the previous month and with 7,1% - more compared to August 2017. The turnover of goods in August 2018 summed up 435,2 mio. tonne-km, with 2,8% more than in July 2018 and with 5,6% - compared to August 2017.

In January-August 2018 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 11,5 mio. tonnes of goods, with 13,9% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 3016,5 mio. tonne-km, with 6,3% more than in the corresponding period 2017.
