National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2018, 364,6 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 160,2 thou. foreign tourists (43,9% from total) and 204,4 thou. Moldovan tourists (56,1%). In comparison to 2017, the number of tourists accommodated in the collective tourist reception facilities increased (+8,1%), due to its growth in rest structures (+20,7%), hotels and motels (+11,4%), retirement structures (+5,1%) and holiday camps for pupils (+0,1%). At the same time, the number of tourists accommodated in hostels for visitors (-15,5%) and tourist and agrotouristic pensions (-15,4%).
