The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 76,9 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-September 2019, with 1,5% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 4666,2 million passenger-kilometers, with 2,5% more than January-September 2018.

 

In the period under review, passenger transport accounted for the highest share (96,9%), followed by air transport (1,7%) and rail transport (1,3%).

 

Compared to January-September 2018, increases were recorded for road transport of passengers (+2,1%). At the same time, there is a decrease, compared to the respective period of 2018, rail passengers (-26,0%) and air transport (-1,4%) and river transport (-0,3%).
