The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 103,0 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-December 2019, with 0,8% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 5974,6 million passenger-kilometers, with 0,8% more than January-December 2018.

 

In the period under review, passenger transport accounted for the highest share (97,2%), followed by air transport (1,5%) and rail transport (1,1%).

 

Compared to January-December 2018, increases were recorded for road transport of passengers (+1,4%). At the same time, there is a decrease, compared to the respective period of 2018, rail passengers (-32,1%), air transport (-3,2%) and river transport (-0,1%).
