The situation of children in the Republic of Moldova in 2020

The National Bureau of Statistics presents information on the situation of children in 2020.   

As of January 1, 2021, the number of children in the Republic of Moldova accounted for 559,7 thousand, or almost every fifth person was aged up to 18 years old. The share of children aged 0-17 years old in the total number of the population with usual residence, at the beginning of 2021, accounted for 21,6%.
