The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-August 2021, 39,9 million passengers were transported with public transport, with 14,4% more than in the similar period of 2020.

 

The passengers turnover constituted 2223,1 million passenger-km, increasing with 41,0% compared to January-August 2020.

 

In January-August 2021 the railway, road, river and air transport enterprises transported 11,3 million tonnes of goods, a volume higher than that the one recorded in January-August 2020 with 11,4%.

 

The turnover of goods totaled 3227,8 million tonnes-km, with 9,8% more compared to the corresponding period of 2020.
