Industrial activity in January-February 2022

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in February 2022, industrial production (gross series) decreased with 4,4% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year. The decrease in production in February 2022 is due to the decreases in the production and supply of electricity and heat, gas, hot water and air conditioning (-11,9%) and in the manufacturing industry (-3,0%), generating the decrease of production on total industry by 3,0% and 2,2% respectively.

In the same time the production in extractive industry registered an increase (+75,8%), generating the increase of production on total industry by 0,8%.
