Earnings, labor costs and number of employees in 2021
According to the results of the annual statistical survey "Earnings and labor force cost in 2021":
- The average nominal gross monthly earning of an employee counted 8979,8 lei, increasing with 13,1% (or with 1036,8 lei) compared to 2020.
- The average nominal net monthly earning was 7634,8 lei, with 15,4% (or with 1018,0 lei) more than in 2020.
- The average monthly labor cost was 11252,8 lei per employee, with 13,8% (or with 1363,3 lei) more than in 2020.
- The number of employees as of December 31, 2021 was 739,6 thousand persons, with 0,1% (or with 1,1 thousand persons) more than in December 31, 2020.
- The average number of employees was 622,7 thousand persons, with 3,5% (or with 21,1 thousand persons) more than in 2020.
