05.07.2022 The National Bureau of Statistics has increased its capacity to collect and generate statistics according to the international standards with the support of the European Union
The activities result of the Project "Technical Assistance to the National Bureau of Statistics of the Republic of Moldova" were presented at the final conference of the project, held today, July 5, in Chisinau. The project managed to strengthen institutional cooperation between the National Statistics Office of the Republic of Moldova and a number of European national institutions responsible for statistics and contributed significantly to the process of modernizing the National Statistical System of the Republic of Moldova in accordance with the European and international standards.
03.06.2022 Public event organized by the NBS as part of the global campaign to promote the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics
On June 2, 2022, the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) organized the public event entitled “Application of the Fundamental Principle of Official Statistics no. 9 “Use of international standards” in the Republic of Moldova”. The event was carried out in the context of the campaign to promote the Fundamental Principles of Official Statistics at international level, which this year marks the 30th anniversary of its adoption by the United Nations Economic Commission (UNECE).

04.02.2015 The European Union supports the improvement of regional statistics in Moldova
Today, February 4 2015, the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” has been launched. The goal of EU assistance through the project “Improved Regional Statistics in the Republic of Moldova” is to strengthen the capacity of the producers of statistics, mainly the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) to improve the methodological aspects of regional statistics as well as their dissemination.
02.10.2013 The use of administrative data for statistical purposes
This was the theme of the international seminar held from October 1-2 in Chisinau. The event was organized by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) jointly with Statistics Norway. Within the seminar was examined current situation on NBS insurance with administrative data by public authorities and other institutions for producing official statistics focus on the problems and how to solve them.
23.02.2012 Round-table "Labour market statistics"
National Bureau of Statistics, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Family and the UN Joint Project on Strengthening the National Statistical System, have trained 25 public servants in the framework of a round-table carried out on February 22, 2012 regarding the collection, production and dissemination of labour market statistics in the Republic of Moldova.

07.10.2008 International seminar “Social inclusion: notions, indicators, requirements and measurement”
The main goal of the event was to discuss the problematics of social exclusion in the context of social policies’ increasing efficiency.
