National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-October 2009 the average salary of one employee in national economy constituted 2697,3 Lei and it increased compared to the same period of the previous year with 9,0%. The real salary in the same period of time increased with 9,0%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-October 2009 industrial enterprises of all types of ownership, produced goods to the amount of 18441,6 mio. lei, in current prices. The volume index of industrial production in comparison with January-October 2008 constituted 75,9%, in comparable prices. In October 2009 in comparison with October 2008 this index constituted 77,4%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2009 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 820,9 thou. tonnes of goods with 2,8% more than in the previous month and with 39,0% less than in October 2008.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-September 2009 tourism agencies and tour-operators have provided tourism services to 114,5 thousand tourists and excursionists, that is with 1,5% more that in the correspondent period of year 2008.
20.11.2009 Retail trade and services provided to population in January-October 2009
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2009 retail trade through commercial units summed up 1791,5 million MDL that is with 3,6% less than the prevoius month and with 6,5% less compared to October 2008. The volume of charged services rendered to the population by officially registered enterprises in October 2009 made up 984,7 million MDL that is 11,5% less, in comparable prices, than in previous month and with 2,5% more compared to October 2008.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2009 the prices in total for industry have remaineded at the level of September 2009. In comparison with December 2008 the industrial production price index has decreased with 0,5%, and with 3,2% in comparison with October 2008.

Exports of goods in September 2009 registered a value of 106,3 mln. US dollars, which is 8,4% more than in the previous month and 31,2% less than in September 2008. Imports of goods in September 2009 registered a value of 286,2 mln. US dollars, which is 22,3% more than in the previous month and 34,6% less than in September 2008.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in October 2009 compared to September 2009 the consumer price indices (CPI) registered 101,5%, and 98,4% compared to October 2008 (in October 2008 compared to September 2008 CPI registered 100,8% and 109,8% compared to October 2007).
