National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in April 2014 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 4009,1 Lei and it increased with 7,2% compared to April 2013. The index of the real salary in April 2014 compared to April 2013 was 101,3%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in May 2013 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 940,1 thou. tonnes of goods with 0,6% less than in the previous month and with 0,8% more compared to May 2012. The turnover of goods in May 2013 summed up 345,1 mio. tonne-km, with 2,3% more than in the previous month and with 3,8% - compared to May 2012.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the dwelling stock represented 79860,3 thousand m² as of January 1, 2012. The urban localities own 30859,2 thousand m² or 38,6% of the total dwelling stock, the rural localities – 49001,1 thousand m² and 61,4% accordingly.

National Bureau of Statistics communicates, that in 2011 enterprises and organizations of all forms of ownerships carried out investments in long-term tangible assets to the amount of 16337,9 mio. lei (current prices) from all financing sources. As compared to 2010 this volume increased with 11,8% (comparable prices).

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in quarter I 2012, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 1439,3 lei, which is with 6,6% more than in the similar period of 2011. Monthly population expenditures in quarter I 2012 in average per person constituted 1510,8 lei, which is with 5,8% more than in the corresponding period of 2011.

US dollars, which is with 8,9% less than in the previous month and with 3,5% more than in April 2011. Imports of goods in April 2012 registered a value of 426,8 mio. US dollars, which is with 10,4% less than in the previous month and with 1,3% more than in April 2011.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in May 2012 compared to April 2012 the consumer price index constituted 100,0%, and compared to May 2011 - 104,1%. From the beginning of the year (May 2012 compared to December 2011) consumer prices increased with 1,2%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2011, the development of demographic trends is characterised by the decrease of both, fertility and general mortality rates as compared to 2010, as well as the decrease of the value of population natural decrease rate. The total fertility rate registered a value of 1,23 children pe woman during its fertile life.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the 1st quarter of 2012 the economically active population (employed population plus unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1103,7 thousand persons, less with 3,0% (-34,1 thousand) compared to the 1st quarter of 2011.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that as of January, 1, 2012 the number of the children aged under 18 constituted 727.2 thousand or 20.4% from the total resident population. From the total number of households, 35.4% have been caring at least afeter one child aged under 18. On the average, households with children have 1.6 children.
