25.06.2019 Gross Domestic Product in the Republic of Moldova in the first quarter of 2019
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the first quarter of 2019 the gross domestic product on gross series totaled 41185 mil.lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 4,4% compared to the first quarter of 2018. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 4,1% compared to the first quarter of 2018 and with 0,3% - compared to the fourth quarter of 2018.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in April 2019, the industrial production increased by 12,3% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of increase of the quarrying industry, manufacturing industry and production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that 34,1 million passengers were transported with public transport in January-April 2019, with 3,5% more than in the similar period of 2018. The passenger's journey constituted 1643,5 million passenger-kilometers, with 3,2% more than January-April 2018.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in May 2019 the annual inflation registered 4,6%, including: food products – 8,0%, nonfood products – 4,0% and services – 0,1%. Also the consumer price index in May 2019 compared to April 2019 registered 101,4%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the first quarter 2019 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 6923,0 Lei, an increase of 17,2% compared to the first quarter 2018.
