National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-July 2009 the average salary of one employee in national economy constituted 2694,9 Lei and it increased compared to the same period of the previous year with 10,2%. The real salary in the same period of time increased with 9,2%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-July 2009 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 4027,8 thou. tonnes of goods, or 38,5% of the total volume realized in same period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 1363,3 mio. tonnes-km, or 45,7% of the toal volume realized in January-July 2008.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-July 2009 industrial enterprises of all types of ownership, produced goods to the amount of 12432,8 mio. lei, in current prices. The volume index of industrial production in comparison with January-July 2008 constituted 75,3%, in comparable prices.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2009 tourism agencies and tour-operators have provided tourism services to 55,5 thousand tourists and excursionists, that is with 0,5% less that in the correspondent period of year 2008.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in July 2009 the prices in total for industry have decreased compared to June 2009 with 0,6%. In comparison with December 2008 the industrial production price index has decreased with 1,8%, and with 3,9% in comparison with July 2008.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-June 2009 as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, the number of arrivals and overnight stays of tourists in establishments of collective touristic accomodation decreased with 23,7% and 22,4% correspondingly.

The National Bureau of Statistics presents data regarding the foreign trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-June 2009. Imports of goods in June 2009 registered a value of 259,7 mln. US dollars, which is 6,9% more than in the previous month and 41,4% less than in June 2008.
