National Bureau of Statistics communicates that agricultural production, in all types of households, in January-March 2013 constituted 99,0% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. The decrease of global agricultural production was determined by the decrease of animal production (with 1,0%), with a share in total agricultural production (of about 99%).
30.04.2013 Research and development activity in 2012
National Bureau of Statistics informsб that the research and development (R&D) activity in 2012 was conducted in 69 units, of which 43 institutes and/or research centres, 15 higher education institutions and 11 other types of units. From the total number of units, 55 units or 79,7% are in state ownership compared to 81,3% in 2011.
29.04.2013 Doctoral and postdoctoral activity in 2012
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2012 doctoral studies were held in 47 institutions, including 31 scientific research institutions and 16 higher education institutions. Overall, there was registered a decrease in the number of doctoral students, from 1667 persons in 2005 to 1485 persons in 2012 (excluding foreign students).
22.04.2013 The number of live-births by age group of the mother, live-birth order and area in 2012
National Bureau of Statistics informs, that the number of live-births in 2012 was 39435 persons, which is 253 (0,6%) more than in 2011. The birth rate constituted 11,1 live-births per 1000 inhabitants, in rural areas being higher (11,9‰) than in urban areas (10,0‰).

National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in 2012 living subsistence constituted in average per person 1507,5 lei, which is with 0,3% more than in 2011. The living subsistence remained practically unchanged comapared to 2011 mainly due to the reduction of prices for some foodstuff products.
19.04.2013 Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-March 2013
National Bureau of Statistics informs that in March 2013 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 804,2 thou. tonnes of goods with 28,8% more than in the previous month and with 24,5% - compared to March 2012. The turnover of goods in March 2013 summed up 348,5 mio. tonne-km, with 15,2% more than in the previous month and with 14,4% - compared to March 2012.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2012, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 1508,8 lei, which is with 4,4% more than in 2011. Monthly population expenditures in 2012 in average per person constituted 1598,6 lei, which is with 4,2% more than in 2011.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that in February 2013 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 3380,1 Lei and it increased with 6,8% compared to February 2012. The index of the real salary in February 2013 compared to February 2012 was 102,4%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs, that the indices of industrial production in January-February 2013 compared to January-February 2012 constituted 99,3%. In February 2013 compared to February 2012 the indeces of industrial registered 101,5%.
12.04.2013 External trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-February 2013
National Bureau of Statistics informs, that exports of goods in February 2013 registered a value of 198,8 mio. US dollars, with 22,6% more than in the previous month and with 25,9% - compared to February 2012. Imports of goods in February 2013 registered a value of 406,7 mio. US dollars, with 16,7% more than in the previous month and with 4,5% - compared to February 2012.
