The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, outbound tourism and inbound tourism.

The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of internal tourism, inbound tourism. In the same time, the number of tourists decreased of outbound tourism.

The structure of the active population has changed as follows: the share of employed persons increasead from 96,1% to 96,7%, while the share of unemployed persons decreased from 3,9% to 3,3%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, based on the last country estimations, about 184,3 thousand people of the RM population lives with some form of disability, of whom 14 thousand are children aged 0-17 years. This is higher than the previous five years with 3,8% per hole, while a decrease of 7,9% is registered in the number of children situation. People with disabilities represent 5,2% of total population and the children with disabilities - 2% of the total number of children in Moldova. On average, from 10 thousand of inhabitants there are 518 people with disabilities, while for 10 thousand of children there are 199 children that meet significant difficulties in functioning. Almost every seventh person with disability falls into the category of severe disability.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2014 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 202,8 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 15,7% more than in the corresponding period of 2013. In January-September 2014, compared to the corresponding period of 2013, the number of internal and departed tourism organized by the tourist agencies and tour-operators increased correspondingly with 31,9%, and 14,3%, while the number of arrived tourists decreased with 5,5%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2014, 227,9 thou. tourists attended establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 160,8 thou. were Moldovan tourists (70,6% of total) and 67,0 thou. - foreign tourists (29,4%). In comparison with January-September 2013 the number of tourists has increased (+3,5%), mainly due to the increased of the number of tourists in touristic villas, recreation camps (+51,5%), hotels and motels (+4,7%) and health structures (+3,6%).
