National Bureau of Statistics informs that, at the beginning of the year 2015, in Republic of Moldova were registered 576,6 thousand persons aged 60 years and over, representing about 16% of the total resident population of the country. About 58,4% of the total number of elderly people is living in rural areas. Depending on age, it is found that every third person is aged between 60-64 years and 13,4% are people who are more than 80 years old.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in July 2015 the average nominal gross earnings constituted 4882,6 lei, and it increased with 12,8% compared to July 2014. The index of the real salary in July 2015 compared to July 2014 was 103,9%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in August 2015 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 1050,2 thou. tonnes of goods, with 5,7% less than in the previous month and with 21,1% - compared to August 2014. The turnover of goods in August 2015 summed up 322,0 mio. tonne-km, with 1,1% less than in the previous month and with 11,9% less compared to August 2014.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter II 2015, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 1997,1 lei, which is with 13,7% more than in the similar period of 2014. Monthly population expenditures in quarter II 2015 in average per person constituted 2075,6 lei, which is with 14,8% more than in the corresponding period of 2014.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the size of the living subsistence in the first semester of 2015 constituted in average per month for a person 1724,9 lei, which is with 3,4% more than in I st semester 2014.
15.09.2015 Gross Domestic Product in the Republic of Moldova in the second quarter and first semester of 2015
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, Gross Domestic Product in the second quarter of 2015 has registered an increase by 2,5% compared to the second quarter of 2014 on gross series and by 2,9% on seasonally adjusted series; compared to the first quarter of 2015, Gross Domestic Product has increased by 0,2% on seasonally adjusted series.
14.09.2015 External trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-July 2015
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-July 2015 exports of goods amounted 1157,8 mln. USD, while imports of goods amounted 2325,8 mln. USD. Compared to the same period of the 2014, exports decreased by 15,9% and imports by 22,3%. The trade balance deficit in January-July 2015 has been of 1168,0 mln. USD, lower by 449,5 mln. USD (-27,8%) than that recorded in the corresponding period of 2014.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in July 2015 registered a value of 164,9 mio. US dollars, with 8,7% less than in the previous month and with 19,3% - compared to July 2014. Imports of goods in July 2015 registered a value of 340,9 mio. US dollars, with 3,0% less than in the previous month and with 23,7% - compared to July 2014.
03.09.2015 Labour force in the Republic of Moldova: employment and unemployment in the II-nd quarter 2015
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the II-nd quarter 2015 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1339,2 thousand persons, whiсh is nearly the same level as in the previous year (+0,8%). The structure of the active population has changed as follows: the share of employed persons decreased from 96,4% to 95,9%, while the share of unemployed persons increased from 3,7% to 4,1%.
