The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, as of January 1, 2016, the dwelling stock of the Republic of Moldova constituted 81531,3 thousand m², of which in the urban localities - 32485,5 thousand m² or 39,8% of the total dwelling stock and in the rural localities - 49046,0 thousand m² or 60,4%.
30.06.2016 Activity of small and medium enterprises in the Republic of Moldova in 2015
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2015 the number of small and medium sized enterprises (SME) was 49,8 thousand enterprises, or with 0,5 thousand enterprises (1,0%) less than in 2014. The sector of small and medium sized enterprises represents about 97,2% from the total number of enterprises.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in April 2016 the average gross nominal earnings constituted 4909,6 Lei, an increase of 8,5% compared to April 2015.
15.06.2016 External trade activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-April 2016
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-April 2016 exports of goods amounted 595,7 mln. USD, while imports of goods amounted 1289,5 mln. USD. Compared to the same period of the 2015, exports decreased by 6,8% and imports by 1,2%.The trade balance deficit in January-April 2016 has been of 693,8 mil. USD, with 27.3 mln. USD (+ 4.1%) higher than that recorded in the corresponding period of 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the first quarter of 2016 the Gross domestic product on gross series totaled 27097 mil. lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 0,8% compared to first quarter of 2015. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 0,3% compared to the first quarter of 2015 and by 1,7% compared to the fourth quarter of 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter I 2016, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 2026,8 lei, which is with 9,3% more than in the similar period of 2015. Monthly population expenditures in quarter I 2016 in average per person constituted 2058,5 lei, which is with 7,6% more than in the corresponding period of 2015.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in May 2016 the annual inflation (for the last 12 months from May 2015 to May 2016) registered 7,9%, including: food products – 8,1%, nonfood products – 7,3% and services – 7,7%. Also the consumer price index in May 2016 compared to April 2016 registered 100,2%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the indices of industrial production in January-April 2016 compared to January-April 2015 constituted 102,7%. In April 2016 compared to April 2015 the indices of industrial production registered 110,0%.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, exports of goods in April 2016 registered a value of 178,5 mio. US dollars, with 10,2% more than in the previous month and with 18,0% - compared to April 2015. Imports of goods in April 2016 registered a value of 400,1 mio. US dollars, with 1,3% more than in the previous month and with 21,4% - compared to April 2015.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the number of residential population of the Republic of Moldova on January 1, 2016 amounted to 3553,1 thousand, of which 1511,1 thousand (42,5%) consist the urban population and 2042,0 thousand (57,5%) - the rural one. Population distribution by sex is as follows: 51,9% (1844,0 thou. persons) - women and 48,1% (1709,1 thou. persons) - men. The percentage rate is maintaining the same range as the previous year.
03.06.2016 Labour force in the Republic of Moldova: employment and unemployment in the I-st quarter 2016
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the I-st quarter 2016 the economically active population (employed population and unemployed persons) of the Republic of Moldova was 1198,1 thousand persons, more with 4,0% (46,2 thou.) compared to the I-st quarter 2015. The structure of the active population has changed as follows: the share of employed persons increased from 91,5% to 93,8%, while the share of unemployed persons decreased from 8,5% to 6,2%.
