National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the indices of industrial production in January-December 2016 compared to January-December 2015 registered 100,9%. In December 2016 compared to December 2015 the indices of industrial production registered 108,7%.
16.02.2017 Attendance of establishments of collective touristic accommodation in 2016
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2016, 306,3 thou. tourists attended the establishments of collective touristic accommodation, of which 185,0 thou. Moldovan tourists and 121,3 thou. foreign tourists. In comparison with 2015 the number of tourists has increased, mainly due to the increase with 2,3 times of the number of tourists in touristic and agrotouristic pensions and with in hotels and motels.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in 2016 exports summed up 2045,3 mio. USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2015 with 4,0%. Imports summed up 4020,3 mio. USD, more than in the corresponding period of 2015 with 0,8%.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January 2017 the annual inflation (for the last 12 months from January 2016 to January 2017) registered 3,0%, including: food products – 3,8%, nonfood products – 3,9% and services – 0,3%.
09.02.2017 Preliminary number of resident population in the Republic of Moldova on 1 January 2017
National Bureau of Statistics announces that the number of population of the Republic of Moldova at the beginning of the 2017 year amounted 3550,9 thousand people, less than in the same period of 2016 with 2,2 thousand people. More than half of the population is rural - 2034,1 thousand people, or 57,3%, in urban areas are living 1516,8 thousand persons, or 42,7%.
27.02.2015 Criminality in the Republic of Moldova in 2014
National Bureau of Statistics communicates that, following the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in 2014, there were registered 41,8 thousand crimes on the territory of the republic, representing an increase of 9,5% as compared to the previous year and compared to 2010 period the crime level increased 1,3 times. Crime rates is 117 offenses per 10,000 inhabitants, compared to 94 offenses in 2010.
