20.05.2020 The touristic activity of the tourism agencies and tour-operators in January-March 2020
The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2020 the tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 27,4 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 28,4% less than in the corresponding period of 2019. The decreased of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by the decrease of the number of participants of inbound tourism, outbound tourism and domestic tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the number of children of the Republic of Moldova as of January 1, 2017 was 681,3 thousand children, thus each fifth person was aged up to 18 years old.

National Bureau of Statistics communicates that in January-March 2017 value of investments in long-term assets amounted to 2322,1 mio. lei. Compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, this indicator decreased with 1,2%.

National Bureau of Statistics reports that in 2016 compared to the previous year the number of water supply systems has increased by 68 units, thus on the territory of the country there are 1181 water supply systems. Out of the total aqueducts, 1115 systems or 94.4 percent were operating during the year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that in January-March 2017 were put into operation 1177 dwellings with total area of 122,6 m², or 2,0% more than in January-March 2016.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-March 2017, turnover in retail trade decreased with 4,4% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that the industrial production in March 2017 decreased by 2,3% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, and as adjusted series depending on the number of working days and seasonality increased by 1,3 %.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2016 by leasing companies were leased out fixed assets with total value of 1231,5 mio. Lei or with 142,4 mio. Lei more than in 2015. The major part of fixed assets leased out were the transport means with a value of 1085,2 mio. Lei, of which automobiles constituted 919 mio. Lei.
12.05.2017 Deceased by main causes of death in 2016
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in 2016 number of deceased was 38490 persons, with 1416 persons less compared to the previous year, the general mortality rate constituted 10,8 deceased per 1000 inhabitants.
