The estimated number of people with disabilities in the Republic of Moldova is 180,6 thousand people, including 11,7 thousand children aged 0-17 years. Persons with disabilities represent 5,1% of total population of the country, and children with disabilities constitute approximately 1,7% of all children from Moldova.

In 2017, the number of reporting enterprises amounted to 47,5 thou. enterprises, of which 33,9 thou. are active enterprises that represent 71,3% of the total number of reporting enterprises. During the 2017 year, 5,5 thou. enterprises were created and 7,5 thou. enterprises were liquidated.

The National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-September 2018 tourism agencies and tour-operators provided tourism services to 277,0 thousand tourists and excursionists, with 19,6% more than in the corresponding period of 2017. The growth of the number of tourists and excursionists was caused by increase of outbound tourism, inbound tourism and internal tourism.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in September 2018, the industrial production decreased by 3,2% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the manufacturing industry and the production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply. In the same time, the quarrying industry registered an increase.
