26.12.2018 Activity of the primary and general secondary education institutions, beginning of the academic year 2018/19
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the academic year 2018/19, primary and general secondary education is provided in 1246 units, including 103 primary schools, 780 secondary schools, 350 high schools and 13 schools for children with intelectual or physical disabilities. Compared to previous academic year, the number of primary and general secondary institutions has increased with 3 units.
26.12.2018 Freight and passenger transportation in the Republic of Moldova in January-November 2018
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in January-November 2018 enterprises of railway, road, river and air transport, have transported 17,9 mio. tonnes of goods, with 10,2% more than in the corresponding period of the previous year. The turnover of goods summed up 4396,5 mio. tonne-km, with 3,9% more than in the corresponding period 2017.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, the higher education institutions network have a total of 29 units including 19 state and 10 non-state institutions. Most of them, mainly 25 units are located in Chişinău municipality and 1 unit each in Balţi, Cahul, Comrat and Taraclia.

National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in quarter III 2018, monthly disposable incomes of population summed up in average per person 2412 lei, which is with 8,5% more than in the similar period of 2017 and with 1,6% - compared to the second quarter of 2018. In real terms population incomes registered an increase of 5,6%.
15.12.2018 Gross domestic product in the third quarter and in January-September 2018
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in the third quarter of 2018 the Gross domestic product on gross series totaled 57370 mil. lei current market prices, increasing - in real terms - by 3,4% compared to quarter III of 2017. On the series seasonally adjusted, Gross domestic product increased by 3,7% compared to the third quarter of 2017 and with 1,2% - compared to the second quarter of 2018.
14.12.2018 Activity of technical vocational institutions in academic year 2018/19
At the beginning of the academic year 2018/19, the number of vocational technical education institutions was 89 units, including 13 centers of excellence, 34 colleges and 42 vocational schools. 44,3 thou. pupils study in technical vocational institutions, of which 13,0 thou. - in centers of excellence and 13,9 thou. pupils each in vocational schools and 17,4 thou. - in colleges.
11.12.2018 Industrial activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-October 2018
National Bureau of Statistics informs that, in October 2018, the industrial production decreased by 4,9% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, as a result of decrease of the manufacturing industry and the production of electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply. In the same time, the quarrying industry registered an increase.
